Subscription to weekly piano lessons for ages 5 and up. Bay Montessori School students, alumni, and parents are offered lessons on campus during the school day. Private students are offered lessons at Emma’s home studio or via Zoom meeting.
Lessons focus on building technique and dexterity, key identification, treble and bass clef reading fluency, rhythm skills via reading and aural studies, and working through educational music that will prepare the students for music that matches the genres they enjoy listening to. Beginner and intermediate improv, composing, and songwriting are also offered based on student interest.
Lesson book curriculum is assigned after the first lesson, based on learning style and interests. Students are expected to make their own home practice goals and actively work to meet their goals. Performance in recitals is not mandatory but is encouraged.
Lessons are billed ahead monthly via Zelle (no fee), PayPal (3% transaction fee), or Venmo (3% transaction fee). ACH bank transfer and checks are also accepted.
